SKOTS was founded in Quincy, Massachusetts, in 2000 as Scott’s Automotive Service. After a move to Weymouth, the business became based in Hanover. What began as an automotive business serving private and commercial customers evolved into a service operation focused on commercial vehicles and fleets. That focus reflects the different scheduling and maintenance needs of businesses, whether they operate one vehicle or many.

Founded by P.J.
P.J. founded SKOTS in 2000, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for the automotive industry. His more than 30 years of experience include commercial and fleet work with the City of Boston’s Central Fleet Maintenance operations, Massachusetts Department of Transportation and Ryder Truck Leasing. He holds ASE Master credentials in Automobile, Medium/Heavy Truck and Transit Bus, as well as L1 and L2 advanced certifications.
As both a business owner and fleet professional, he understands that downtime means more than a repair bill. It disrupts operations, costs revenue and delays commitments. That perspective shaped SKOTS into a business structured around commercial customers. Preventive maintenance, scheduling and long-term relationships are designed to give businesses the dependable service they would expect from their own in-house mechanic.
